Throughout his service, he devoted much of his off-duty time to community service, developing and implementing youth programs along the East Coast. For 15 of his 20 years in the Navy, he coached basketball, using his leadership skills to mentor and guide young athletes. Now, he is committed to molding, mentoring, and leading the next generation of superstars, helping young people see their value and purpose.

Chief Drane has a profound passion for his country and communities. His travels around the world always led him back to community service, working with youth. Inspired by Coach Larry Grant and Coach Kenny Mapp, who supported him after his mother’s tragic death, Chief Drane believes in the ripple effect of positive change—helping one youth can lead to an unending cycle of positive influence.

In the Navy, Chief Drane served in several leadership positions:
Mobile Security Squadron;Protected Force Protection Special Events (FPSE); Chief of Naval Operation's Integrated Vulnerability Assessment Team Antiterrorism program, recognized as the "Navy's Best"; Anti-piracy and Vessel Boarding Search and Seizure;Commander Navy Region Southwest Asia's Anti-Terrorism Department Leading Chief Petty Officer.

His service has earned him numerous accolades, including a Navy Commendation Medal, two Navy Achievement Medals, and various community service and campaign awards.

Chief Drane is dedicated to using his extensive experience to inspire and lead the next generation, ensuring they reach their full potential.

Chief Drane is married to Shelly, and they are the proud parents of six children.
